What is brain death?

Brain death is a condition in which there is an irreversible loss of consciousness, absence of brain stem reflexes and apnea.  Brain death is normally considered as the preliminary stage for organ retrieval and transplantation.

The main element that hinders organ transplantation is lack of awareness and absence of swift mode of transport that make the patients to wait in a large queue for a long period resulting death.  By donating our organs, we can live even after our death.  Let us bring public awareness of it.
