Tips to face the summer days

WE are going to face the speedy temperature fluctuations and the wild summer of this year. In these vulnerable times we have to be fit and maintain our health. Due to temperature fluctuations and changes in the atmospheric pressure, we feel that we are unfit. In these days we are also susceptible to several viral diseases and we are forced to consult a doctor and take remedial measures.

Though it is impossible to escape from the severity of full -fledged summer season, we shall minimize the seriousness. Here are some tips that can be followed to lead a healthy life during the summer seasons.


  1. Always drink boiled and cooled water to avoid micro disease causing germs present in the water. Drink plenty of salt applied lemon juice. The water you use for making the lemon juice must be purified water.
  2. Don’t drink such cold juices, immediately after a hot sweating. After a walk in the sun or a hectic work, your body is in the hot condition and in such a hot condition, if you drink cold juices, you may develop cold and other illness.
  3. Avoid or minimize the consumption of tea and coffee during these seasons.
  4. You shall make coffee with the help of coriander power and cumin power and it will make your body cool.
  5. Make your lunch and supper very light with much vegetables and fruits.
  6. Daily change your exterior and interior dresses and it is good and comfortable to use light and cotton dresses.
  7. Avoid eating beef and broiler chicken. Improve your health by means of vegetable soups.
  8. Take bath daily twice (Morning and Night) If your body doesn’t permit, at least rinse your body with the help of a wet towel.
  9. If possible, wash your face periodically and make your eye-lids cool.
  10. Avoid walking or working in the direct sun-light continuously.
The above recommendations are only pre-cautionary measures so as to escape from the extreme summer.

Cricket Tragedy

Australian Cricket left hand opening Player Philip Heyse, failing in his attempt of making a pull short of  a bouncer from Abote at Sidney, the ball hit at his left side of the head, fell down unconsciously in the ground,  all the players assembled at him, stretcher was brought, first aid was given,  and was admitted in the Saint Vincent Hospital by means of a helicopter , but  remained in the state of “coma” has passed away and many VIP s from Australia, including the Prime minister of that country participated in the Burial procession.

He is a left hander, who has been aged 26 years but played 26 Test Matches and 25 one day international matches for Australia, collapsed at the Sydney stadium with 63 runs at his last own account. Having hit by the ball, he neither gained consciousness nor experienced pain during the time of his death. At the time of his death all his family members are with him.

It has been informed by the doctor, that the minute blood vessels that carry blood to the brain have been broken and he was subjected to an operation of 90 minutes. Hearing this, many cricket fans including the captain of the Australian cricket team tip-toed to the spot

The unfortunate aspect of this event is coincided with the event of the arrival of his mother and his sister to the Sidney stadium to enjoy the batting of Philip Heyse. Both his mother and his sister witnessed the view of his collapse. They never thought that it would end like this. Perhaps, they might have thought, he will get up very shortly and resume his play. The dark death dramatically played its trick, and snatched his life from us.

How can you avoid hiccups?

During inspiration, the diaphragm and the intercostals muscles contract. The diaphragm moves downwards increasing the volume of the thoracic (chest) cavity, and the intercostals muscles pull the ribs up expanding the rib cage and further increasing this volume. This increase of volume lowers the air pressure in the alveoli to below atmospheric pressure. Because air always flows from a region of high pressure to a region of lower pressure, it rushes in through the respiratory tract and into the alveoli. This is called negative pressure breathing, changing the pressure inside the lungs relative to the pressure of the outside atmosphere. But sometimes, diaphragm gets irritated and it results hiccups as it evades from the control of brain.  During this situation, the inhaled air is unable to move freely due to several factors and it results Hiccups and we feel uncomfortable.

Reasons:  There are several reasons such as eating food fastly, or eating very hot.
Sometimes it is caused due to the intake of pain killers or steroid tablets. Sometimes it occurs due to inadequate consumption of water too. If it continues more than two days, it may be the symptoms of other diseases due to the damages in the kidney, diaphragm, spleen, lungs, and other infections. In short if the percentage of urea is increased in the blood, one can experience hiccups.

Remedial measures for ordinary Hiccups:  Take deep breath and keep the inhaled air for a while and exhale slowly. If you practice it for more than five times, the problem will be solved. Otherwise, drink three cups of cold water briskly or take one table spoon of sugar in the mouth and allow it to be dissolved. The above steps may give relief to hiccups. As a last .step, exhale the air in a paper bag  and inhale back the same air continuously for about 20 times. In doing so, you can increase the amount of carbon dioxide in your blood and the increase of carbon dioxide in the blood will stop hiccups.

N.B : It is always advisable to contact a registered medical practitioner if you experience hiccups continuously for more than two days or often.

During your student life, you are paying a particular amount and you are taught but during your employment life, you are taught many things by paying a considerable amount as salary.  Hence the person who provided a job to you in a company has every right to question you to get various information. Don’ think that your boss finds fault with you.  Instead analyze yourselves and try to bring positive changes in your mode of work so as to make use of your potentialities towards the satisfaction of your boss.  Employment is nothing but a social recognition and for that you must be proud of the Job you have got and the person who has provided the job for you.
  2. SELF-IMPROVEMENT is the first step towards success and in this connection what I would like to state is that you are required to discharge your work in a perfect way efficiently in a quick manner. Without giving much importance to your past ideas, find out innovative methods so that you can improve quality in your work and that will yield a high degree of EXPERIENCE which will keep you in that work.

TAKE THE RIGHT FOOD, REDUCE YOUR WEIGHT, AND LEAD A COMFORTABLE LIFE.

Everybody wants to be happy and comfortable but facing a lot of health oriented problems which makes uncomfortable and unfit to enjoy our life. Many are worried about obesity (increase in the body weight) and to reduce their body weight, they engage themselves with rigorous physical exercises and dieting. As they are minimizing their food to a great extent, they are subjected to several diseases and are unable to discharge their daily routine work.  Here are some useful tips to improve your health by including a few easily available food items in your daily food.

Change your attitude:  Attitude means they way in which you behave generally.  Hence it includes various factors such as our way of feeling, thinking, resting, and feeding. Here we have to change our attitudes positively and allot a particular period of time for our daily physical activities, preferably in the morning time and avoid eating fast food and unnecessary snacks.” A stitch in time saves many”.  Accordingly bring changes in your food style as early as possible so as to have a comfortable life.


Daily we are required to include sweet, salt, and sour taste in our food. It is always better to include whole grains, green vegetables and different types of fruits in our daily menu so that we can get all types of vitamins and minerals for our body.  If we take balanced food, with regular physical exercises, we need not worry about for health problems.  Here are certain ingredients that make room for a healthy life.

  1. Turmeric:  Turmeric Plays an important role in dissolving the excess of fats and improves blood circulation. It also reduces blood pressure and accelerates the immune power. So we should include turmeric in our daily cooking.    
  2. Cardamom:     Cardamom increases the metabolic activities and dissolves the excess of unwanted fat materials.  It also accelerates the process of digestion.  Hence cardamom with its nice flavor can be included in our daily food.
  3. Pepper:  It plays an important role of fighting against toxins and improves the immune system.  It also prevents the growth of germs and worms in our digestive system
  4. Capsicum:  It has the strong tendency of dissolving the fats and the ‘capsaicin’ present in this accelerates the metabolic activities and it has the capacity of eliminating the fat particles with in twenty minutes.
  5. Curry Leaves:  It plays a dominant role in the reduction of our body weight as it can easily remove the excess of fats and other toxins. It also removes the worms in the large intestines and purifies the blood.
  6. Garlic: It has the tremendous effect of dissolving fats from our body and the sulfur content in it can arrest the multiplication of germs in our intestine.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU LOST YOUR CERTIFICATES

Step 1:  

You are required to submit the Xerox copy of your tenth or twelfth mark statement and the copy of your transfer certificate along with the fees receipt of Rs.105/-(for tenth mark statements) or Rs.505/-(twelfth mark statements) to  the concerned Headmaster/Headmistress or the D. E. O. Within sixty days you will be able to get your certificate

Usual practice:  

HAVING GIVEN A WRITTEN COMPLAINANT To the police department, you are required to
get a written certificate from the above department about their inability of tracing your certificate.  Then you are required to get the proper signature in the filled in application form, that has been received from the Headmaster/Headmistress of the school where you have studied lately from the Thaisildhar.  Later, you are required to send the above application form and other details of documents to the District Educational Officer, Who, in turn publish the matter in the Government Gazettes  and based on it, the requisition letter will be forwarded to the Directorate of School Examinations.


In case you lost your University mark statements or convocation certificate, you are required to contact the respective college head and the concerned University
