Now a days, people who are using laptops are increasing and there emerges a fear among them about the ill effect of heat produced during usage.  It is not only a problem to the users but also to the manufacturers.  At present the manufacturers are undergoing research activities to minimize the heat produced during operation.  We get shocking news about the spontaneous combustion oflaptops due to overheating.  It occurs when the heat evolved during the operation of laptops reaches ignition temperature, In this situation many manufacturer s have gone to the extent of replacing the affected batteries ,  that became over heated rapidly with new ones for the already sold laptops,   Apart from the old nature of the batteries,  there are several causes for the emission of heat.  Generally all the electronic goods emit heat as soon as it starts functioning.  The3 space in the laptops is highly reduced and it is considerably lesser than the space in the desktop computers.  Consequently the electronic plates are placed compactly in the limited space provided in such a way the heat produced is doubled.  Another problem is that these high speed laptops are provided with highly powerful electronic modules which are activated additionally and it results the production of more heat.  Laptop manufacturers are aware of this fact and so these devices are provided with micro fans and heat sealing plates.  IN Spite of the above precautionary measure,  over heating occurs due to decrease in the speed of the micro fans in the long run up.  It also creates risky problemsin the key part of the laptops.  Hence there is no alternative but to expel the heat quickly and cool the devices.  In this way, we shall avoid many forthcoming problems.  It is better to check if the speed of the micro fans are reduced or not.  Even if it has been detected out, it is hardly possible to open the laptops.

We should be aware of the fact that the air holes are meant for the free circulation of air so as to reduce the heat produced during the operation.  Hence the dust particles loaded in the air holes should be removed periodically.

Another possible remedial measure is bringing periodical changes in the BIOS Settings.  We can find out the mode of bringing changes by getting access to the manufacturer’s web sites.  Some of the manufacturers have already published their BIOS construction and other relevant updated programs Don’t keep the laptops in the sun during operation and avoid activation of laptops within the cars or small rooms.  Don’t keep it very close to the radiators and other hot areas, don’t activate laptops by keeping it in your lap, cushions or bed sheets.
